What is the difference between Starphire glass and Clear glass?

Starphire glass is the most optically transparent glass available; which means your colour choice for your splashback has the least possible variation to the colour chosen. While Clear glass has a high concentration of iron; so when the glass is painted it gives off a green tinge.

What wall or surface conditions are suitable for Glass Splashbacks?

Splashback panels can be applied to almost any surface including plaster board, gyprock, fibre board, MDF etc. The surface must be reasonably free from protrusions. Eg: Brick walls and nails.

What are the prerequisites for Check Measuring?

You’re Kitchen or Bathroom needs to be completely finished. That includes bench tops, power points, range hoods, taps, cabinetry, architraves, cook tops etc. This ensures a perfect fit with minimal gaps. If the glass splashback is going behind a range hood, the range hood needs to be removed prior to check measuring so the hole locations and sizes can be measured accurately. The responsibility of removing / installing range hoods is that of the customer.

What is the lead time to final installation?

Approximately 15 working days from the time of check measure

How will my Splashbacks be installed?

Precision uses only qualified and experienced installers, the splashbacks are glued on with silicone and then perimeter sealed with water resistant silicone.

What colours are available?

Almost any colour is available, with the preference to match colours from the Dulux colour range.

Are my splashbacks panels safe?

Splashback panels are 6mm thick toughened glass, which is A grade safety glass.

How do I clean my splashback?

Regular glass cleaning products are applicable.

When is fire rated board required?

Fire rated board is required when the edge of the gas burner is within 140mm of the glass splashback. This is a Gas Safe Law.  

How do I obtain splashback samples?

Precision has approximately 60 samples on display and available from there showroom, Samples can be made to order with a charge of $30.00 per sample.
